Guided walk: improving the health of Keswick's woodlands as part of the Lake District World Heritage Site

Lake Road, Keswick, Cumbria, CA12 5DJ

  • 10 Sep 2024
  • In person
  • Pre-booking required

Join ranger Ted on a guided walk exploring the beautiful woodlands that border Keswick and their role in the cultural landscape of the Lake District World Heritage Site.

Ranger Ted will lead a guided walk around Cockshot Wood on the edge of Keswick, talking about the woodland management that we have carried out over the past 5 years, and what our plans are for the woods in the future. After that we will be taking a walk to Castlehead Woods, from which we will be (hopefully) rewarded with an incredible view down Borrowdale, from where we will have a discussion about the cultural landscape and it’s management, including the farming system
