Two-hour walk around historic Tring town centre starting and ending at Tring Local History Museum. Unsuitable for dogs or small children. Features influence of the Rothschild family in Victorian/Edwardian times.

This walk, mostly on level pavements, starts at 1400 at Tring Local History Museum (which we hope will be open too). It will explain the growth and development of this historic town in the Chiltern Hills, with its Roman connections, mansion by Wren and above all its association with the Rothschild family and the contribution made by the architect William Huckvale.

Tring Local History Museum is opposite a Shell garage in Brook Street. There is public parking available next to the museum, reached from the High Street and free on Sundays.
