Dragon Hall has had a fascinating and colourful history – starting life as a medieval trading hall, then a crowded residential building for 500 years, it’s been everything from slums, a butcher’s shop, rectory, and pub, right through to wedding venue, festival venue and now, a Literature House! Learn more about one of Norwich’s 12 iconic buildings and get a flavour of the stories that live within its walls.

Dragon Hall is home to the National Centre for Writing and Norwich UNESCO City of Literature.

Our heritage building is largely accessible to wheelchair users but some of our doors are too narrow for larger mobility scooters. If you have access requirements, do feel free to give us a call ahead of your visit to discuss your needs.
