  • Multiple dates available
  • In person

Explore the hidden stories kept inside Sunderland's first parish church.

A guided tour of Holy Trinity Church, built in 1719 to coincide with Sunderland's emergence as a parish in its own right. This tour is lead by one of our staff and will showcase the many dazzling features of this 300 year old building. Come to hear the stories of orphan boy William Elliot's letter from the past, the symbolism hidden in the stained glass window and take in the vestry room table where important decisions about Sunderland's future were made.

The tour will take about an hour and refreshments are available from the café afterwards.
