Discover the rich and vibrant history of this ancient site, learn more about those who lived and worked here, and explore the tranquillity of the gardens which are thought to be some of the oldest in Europe.

The tea-room serves hot and cold drinks, light savoury snacks and a range of cakes, plus sweet and savoury gluten-free options. There's also a second-hand bookshop.

From Helston take A394 to Sithney Common, turn right onto B3302 to Leedstown, turn left, follow signs. From Hayle B3302 to Leedstown, turn right, follow signs. From West, B3280 through Goldsithney, turn right at Townshend. Please follow signs for the car park. By bus: Bus No 39 Helston to Camborne via Sithney, Townshend and Leedstown, Bus No 39A Penzance to Camborne via Leedstown, then Bus No 39 from Townshend

Uneven terrain with some steep slopes and steps. Accessible parking and drop-off point available. Accessible information: - There are 5 accessible parking bays is available approximately 15m from the Welcome Hut. - An electric all-terrain mobility Tramper is available, as is an all-terrain manual wheelchair. Booking in advance is essential. Please email: [email protected] to book. - Due to cobbled and uneven surfaces, visitors using manual wheelchairs will need the assistance of a strong companion. - Accessible toilets are available in the tea-room. - The upstairs of Godolphin House is only accessed via stairs. - Also BSL tours on tablet, easy-read guide, large print guide and visual story available. Dogs on leads are welcome throughout the garden, the bookshop and the Piggery tea-room. Assistance dogs only in Godolphin House.
