Ghosthunters

Following the success of last year's event Stroudwater Navigation Archive Charity are delighted to bring you the next instalment of 'Ghosthunters'.
As you walk down the beautiful, restored Stroudwater Canal keep your eyes peeled as ghosts from the waterway's past have returned to tell their stories. The Stroudwater canal archives are the most complete set of canal archives in the country and are rich with wonderful tales from the canal's past. The team at Stroudwater Navigation Archive Charity have chosen a few entertaining ones which are then brought to life by teenagers from a local theatre school.
The event is aimed at those aged 8 and above. It is a short, fully accessible walk and suitable for wheelchairs. Our friends at Cotswold Boatmobility will be joining us for the event and offering boat rides back to the start on their accessible boats (spaces are limited on this... don't worry though, its not too far to walk back!)

This is a walk along a tow path from Stonehouse to Ryeford. It is open to the elements so please dress for the weather. The tow path is in good condition but can have puddles so sturdy footwear is advised. Dogs on leads are welcome. It is a stretch of open water so adults must keep a close eye on young children. Refreshments are available at St Cyr's Church and also Stonehouse Court Hotel.
