The gardens and grounds tour meanders through beautiful green spaces, it starts at the Old Bishops Palace Gardens, explores the central 'Garth' gardens, College Green and the West Gardens, and marvels in the beauty of the landscape in which the Cathedral sits. This tour highlights the size and grandeur of the Cathedral and its position in the history of Worcester from its founding through to the present day.
A guided tour of the outside the Cathedral building that lasts approximately one hour and is given by one of our Cathedral tour guides.
Worcester Cathedral is one of England's loveliest cathedrals. It stands majestically overlooking the River Severn, close to the city centre. It has been a place of prayer and worship for fourteen centuries. The Cathedral's attractions include royal tombs, Norman Crypt, medieval cloisters, magnificent Victorian stained glass and examples of every period of early English architecture from 11th to late 14th Century.
