Easy Walk following part of the original A1 or Ermine Street around Woodlands. Learn about Woodlands House, the building of the model village of Woodlands and fascinating facts about All Saints Church. Event expected to last approximately 2 hours.

Join Doncaster Civic Trust on a morning walk along part of the original A1- Ermine Street - as it leaves Doncaster and heads north to Castleford. Learn a little about the country house "Woodlands" after which the village is named. We will also be calling at All Saints Church, Woodlands where refreshments will be available (voluntary bucket collection) and to learn from the Revd Stephen Gardner about the building of this unique Model village and some interesting facts on the church, funded by Charles Thelluson of Brodsworth Hall and consecrated in 1913.

Sections of the walk may be muddy so appropriate footwear is advised.
