Family-Friendly Painting: Horse from History
Crewe Market Hall, Earle Street, Crewe, Cheshire, CW1 2BL
Horses have always been an important part of Crewe’s history. Now’s your chance to learn about their role in local life, all while painting and creating!
Choose from one of two different poster designs and fill in the details however you like. You can pick your horse’s colour, name, and even their personality! Will you go for a medieval knight on horseback? Or an ornate poster showing off a spectacular horse for sale?
Whichever you choose, by the end of this crafty event you’ll be able to take away a fabulous A3-sized painting featuring your own personalised historical horse.
Support will be on hand from local artist David Jewkes and his helpers who can help your horse look its very best.
These posters are based on images held by Cheshire Archives, whose staff will be present on the day to tell you more about the different types of horses that you may have found here in the past!
Paints, paper, brushes, and guidance will all be provided.
