The Victorian building is Grade II * listed and is a meeting place for the Council also used as a Wedding and community hire. Paintings & artefacts are on display and a 'pop up' local history museum on Sunday September 8th.

There will be a pop up museum with the theme Routes - Networks - Communications in the main hall of the Eye Town Hall for the Sunday celebrating the local history of Eye. The indoor display will offer historical information about Eye in World War 2, a Make do and Mend campaign and the Eye First Scouts will be in attendance.The USAAF 490th Bombardment Group will be represented with a display of items and uniforms from WW2 when they were based at the Eye Airfield over 80 years ago. The Eye Archives Group with local historic facts and information. The Suffolk Preservation Society will be on hand to talk about Suffolk towns and village networks.

Participants on the tours need to be aware that Eye is an old town with narrow and uneven pavements. When you arrive at the town hall people with restricted mobility access is via the side door next to the Red telephone box and to the left of the main door. . Sadly the Town Hall does not have accessible toilets, Cross street car park 100 Mts away from the town hall or as you park in the Cross Street car park which offers accessible toilets.
