Join Archaeologist Richard Carlton for a rugged 2 mile exploration of the historic features of Rothley Crags and its surrounds.

A walk featuring the archaeology of this historic farmed landscape, with panaramic views from a Romano- British settlement, together with an C18th gothic folly. We'll be covering rough ground to a hilltop viewpoint so wear strong footwear with good grips and bring a wind/ waterproof.

Directions:
Take road north from Scots Gap and take first right to hamlet of Rothley, please park carefully on verge. Allow farm traffic to pass and please do not block entrances.

This 2 mile walk is steep in places and over rough ground. Please wear strong shoes or boots with grippy soles. There are some sections with rocky outcrops. Suitable for anyone over the age of 8 years.
