Royal Holloway, University of London, welcomes you to explore our spectacular Grade I Listed Founder's Building, Picture Gallery, Chapel and extensive grounds. Join us for a day of free talks and tours including fun activities for children.

Join us for Heritage Open Days 2024, as we invite you to be a part of our very special anniversary year. We are celebrating 175 years since the foundation of Bedford College, the first Higher Education College for women in the United Kingdom, and one of the two Colleges which came together to create the University we are today.

Hear experts tell fascinating stories of what life was like for some of the earliest students at both Bedford College and Royal Holloway College. Take a tour of the Founder's Building, opened by Queen Victoria in 1886, and walk in the footsteps of the pioneering Victorian women who boldly broke with convention to get a university education. Join our curators to view some of the treasures in our Victorian art collections including some made of egg! Delve into our archives with our archivist, and find out about how being a university of social purpose was part of our DNA from the beginning.
