  • 14 Sep 2024
  • In person
  • Pre-booking required

Explore the historic quarter, known as the Kasbah, on the Port of Grimsby. Take a guided tour, listen to a talk, or wander the site marvelling at the history of the port's connections with the globe.

This year's Heritage Open Day has the theme Routes - Networks - Connections, and what better way to explore this then at a port! The Port of Grimsby is now the world's largest offshore wind operations and maintenance hub; the UK's largest automotive distribution centre, and home to the UK's largest seafood processing centre!!!

Come explore the historic port through guided walks, talks and exhibitions. Learn about trade routes and the importance of the railway. Meet some of the businesses and tenants based down here and find out more about their work. Support the many charities we have working to save lives or support fishermen or seafarers' welfare. It's a wonderful opportunity to find out more about the Port of Grimsby and some of the amazing plans for its future including a studio backlot, sound stages and skilling future workforces.

Come join us on a walking tour, book on a talk, or pop along and spend time meeting people, exploring buildings, or listening to music.
