The extensive remains of an Augustinian abbey, including its abbots’ quarters, refectory and cloister. The substantially surviving chapter house has a frontage richly bedecked with 12th- and 14th-century carving and statuary, and a fine timber roof of around 1500.
As part of the 2024 Heritage Open Doors Festival, English Heritage are offering exclusive guided tours around the site. Tours are available at 11:00 am on the 9, 10 ,11 and 12 September. The tours are approx. 1 hour long. Dogs welcome on leads

There are a wide variety of facilities, shops, restaurants and cafes in the nearby market town of Shrewsbury. Toilet facilities and a cafe are also available at Haughmond Hill
