The Industrial Heritage Fair contains stands and talks from organisations around Essex that have an interest in the Industrial Heritage of the county.

Essex Industrial Archaeology Group (EIAG) holds an Industrial Heritage Fair (IHF) every two years in different locations around the county. In 2024 we are holding it on 14 September 2024, at Grange Barn in Coggeshall, a village with plenty of industrial heritage. We aim to have an exhibition representing a wide range of the industrial heritage from the county. In the past this has included brick making, museums, windmills, water, transport, industrial air raid shelters, railways, books on Industrial Heritage.

This year we are expecting to have a range of stands from Coggeshall. To go with the exhibition there will be a number of talks on the Industrial Heritage of Essex. In addition a number of the local heritage sites have said that they will be open for visitors on the same day. Maps will be provided for visitors to do self guided tours of the village. As Grange Barn is a National Trust property so we are working in conjunction with the National Trust. IHF 2024 aims to educate the public about the Industrial Heritage of the county whilst providing a chance for different organisation to be able to network.

The event will be open from 1000-1600 for the public and from 09.00 - 17.00 for the exhibitors. Light refreshments will be available, otherwise there are cafés in the village. There is some parking on site with more parking in the village, a short walk away.
