Ellington Park
Ellington Park, Park Road, Ramsgate, Kent, CT11 9TL
Ellington Park history and heritage day featuring information boards and talks about the park which celebrated its 130th anniversary as a public park last year. For this year's event we will be introducing The Elli Park Players who have created a costumed walk featuring historical characters attached to the park (and original estate land), since roman times to the present day. The characters will be in costume to meet and chat to during the day. There is a local choir singing on the recently restored Victorian bandstand. Within this beautiful park there is a cafe with toilet facilities, a quiet wildlife area, an all inclusive children's area, Trim Trail exercise area and our second-hand book shop. Ellington Park has just been awarded Green Flag and Heritage Site awards for the 3rd year running!
There is only nearby street parking but Ramsgate train station is just 5 mins walk as well as two close Loop bus-stops (Ashburnham Road and Wilfred Road). The park is fully accessible and free to all to enter. We look forward to welcoming you!
