Dover Transport Museum – A celebration of Dover’s trams and East Kent buses.

On arrival visitors will be accommodated in the museum café where refreshments will be available and a 35 minute illustrated talk on Dover Corporation’s 1897-1936 tram system will be given. A brief introduction to the East Kent Road Car Co. history will be given followed by a visit to the EKRC Co. exhibition at the museum. Access will then be given to unseen archive material such as voluminous press records relating to the company, the bus accidents register, a complete collection of the company’s in house journals, bus related ephemera from the museum’s collection and many hundreds of photographs. Visitors will have free access to the rest of the museum for the duration of their time slot.
