Find out how Wood Street got its name!

Hear about how the street developed from a narrow yard to be the main ‘civic’ street of the city!

Look up and admire the decorative details of some of the most prominent buildings in Wakefield!

The walk starts at 6.15pm, meeting outside the Town Hall in Wood Street, and will last approximately 90 minutes.

Everyone taking part in the walk will receive a free copy of the Society's book Wood Street: The Heart of Wakefield (usually £3.50).
