Explore the beautiful church with ancient features inside and outside. With the help of friendly guides and displays, journey through the fascinating history of the church and discover the achievements of local celebrities from the past.
2024 is the 500th anniversary of Thomas Linacre's death. Find out what he did for Henry VII and Henry VIII, and his remarkable contribution to modern medicine.
See the Parish Registers on display.
Refreshments and more activities to enjoy in the Schoolroom next to the church.
Car parking is available in the Church Car Park a short walk from the church or, for disabled badge holders, adjacent to the Schoolroom.

Directions:
From the East, leave Chesterfield on the A619 and look for signs to Old Brampton (B6050). Follow this road out of Chesterfield to Old Brampton, looking for the Church car park sign on your right. From the West, Leave Baslow on the A619 and take the left fork onto the B6050 adjacent to the Robin Hood Inn, a couple of miles out of Baslow. Follow the B6050 to Old Brampton - you will see the Church Lychgate (West) on your left and the car park is 200 yards further down the road on your left. The Old Schoolroom (our "Church Hall") is adjacent to the Church on the West side and is where our toilets are located.

Accessibility details

Wheelchair users and others unable to negotiate steps should approach from the West lychgate. The paths to church are slightly uneven, care needs to be taken. There are steps down into church from the porch, but we have portable ramps which our volunteers are happy to put in place for wheelchair users. There will be limited parking for disabled pass holders in front of the Schoolroom which is adjacent to the West Lychgate.
