Discover 10,000 Years of History: A Landscape Tour and Family Heritage Trail at The Chester House Estate

The landscape tour will be led by a knowledgeable team who will bring the estate’s past to life. Capture breath-taking views of the Northamptonshire countryside and experience the tranquillity of this historic estate. Perfect for history enthusiasts, families, and anyone interested in understanding the profound impact of human activity on the landscape. Tickets will need to be pre-booked.
This year for Heritage Open Days, The Chester House Estate are also hosting their own heritage trail for kids. Using the clues given to you, find each place on the trail to learn more about what Roman life would have looked like. Answer the questions based on what you find throughout the estate and complete the puzzle at the end to win a prize! This event is suitable for children aged 5+. All children must be accompanied by a guardian at all times. The trail will take place every day from Friday 6 September to Sunday 15 September (excluding Monday 9 September) from 10am - 4pm.

- The Chester House Estate is situated just off the eastbound A45 between Wellingborough and Rushden. Claudius Way is the main visitor car park and can be accessed through the Prologis Park Wellingborough. Please use postcode NN8 2DH to find this entrance. The main visitor car park is a 5 to 10 minute walk to the main building complex. For Blue Badge Holders please use postcode NN29 7EZ to access the Lime Avenue car park off the A45.
