Dereham Windmill is a Grade II listed windmill set in extensive grounds with a picnic area. On each of the five floors there are illustrated explanations on what happened in each area, when the mill was full of noise and floor dust.

Dereham Windmill is a historical landmark at the heart of the local community. Volunteers and trustees work tirelessly to keep the Windmill open for the community to explore and enjoy. The historical windmill is situated on beautiful grounds with plenty of green and open space for children to play, enjoy picnics, and take in the view. We are lucky enough to have a cafe onsite, providing delicious homemade cakes, light lunches and drinks to enjoy. With toilets (in the cafe), free parking, seating and plenty of green space to enjoy, there really is something for everyone. There are five floors inside the windmill for visitors to explore. You can learn about the history of the Windmill and imagine being a part of the milling process as it was many years ago! Being Grade II listed there are many original features of the Windmill in place. We look forward to welcoming everyone to Dereham Windmill. We are open Fridays and Saturdays 1000-1500.
