Dee Mills and Causeway Guided Walk

Chester has been designated a Heritage Port and the site of the Causeway and mills has been an integral element in the history of the port and the city.

This early evening walk aims to look at the River Dee Causeway (Weir), the history of the mills and the challenges of restoring the link between the upper and lower Dee for navigation.

Duration of walk is approximately one hour. The walk will end at the site of the millrace at the southern end of the Causeway. The approximate distance of the route is a quarter of a mile. Route is fully accessible.
