De Grey Mausoleum
Flitton Church, High Street, Flitton, Bedfordshire, MK45 5EJ
Next to Flitton church, the mausoleum was originally a chapel added by Henry Grey 6th Earl of Kent in about 1605 as a burial place for his family and descendants. The church itself had been built by the De Grey family of Wrest Park in the mid 15th century. The mausoleum has limited opening and this opening is taking places especially for the Heritage Open Days. The monuments and sculptures are stunning and the volunteer guides can tell you fascinating stories about the mausoleum and the De Grey family.
