The museum is celebrating Heritage Open Days with a special guided walk of Borough Hill. Join Museum Volunteer, Mike Arnold, and take a trip around the town and discover the history on your doorstep.

The walk explains the reason for the layout of the town, how that came into existence and explains individual buildings and historical points of interest in the town.

To link in with the 2024 Heritage Open Days theme, 'Routes - Networks - Connections', Mike will be including Coaching Houses, the railway, old bus depot and market square bus station in his tour.

Accessibility details

This is a town centre walk mostly on pavements and pedestrian areas although there is a need to cross roads and climb kerbs. Disabled parking is provided in all the town car parks and on street parking should be available close to the start. Town facilities will be open as per a normal Sunday (please check if you have particular needs).
