Guided walk at an easy pace to see and hear about the surprising number of historic features in this small section of the Droylsden to Hollinwood canal and hear some of the history of the canal and the area. The walk will take around 90 minutes.

Meet outside the café at Daisy Nook Country Park car park, off Stannybrook Road, to hear about the story of the Hollinwood Branch Canal, see the surprising number of features along this gentle stroll within a small area of the Country Park and hear about the important part the canal played in the area's economic prosperity. Illustrated with old photographs.

Much of tour is on canal towpath alongside water. Small children should be closely supervised. Most of the route is level or gently sloping. There are short detours involving steps but these can be omitted by those unable to manage steps.
