CWGC Tours 2024 - Bletchley (Manor Road) Cemetery
Bletchley Cemetery, Manor Road, Bletchley, Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, MK2 2HW
*Please note this event has been cancelled*
The cemetery is the final resting place of 22 casualties from both world wars, many of whom were from the Bletchley and Fenny Stratford area. Amongst those casualties are Gunner William Munday, Royal Field Artillery, who was awarded the Military Medal in 1918 and Flying Officer Leslie Smith, 218 Squadron, RAF who received the Distinguished Flying Cross in the second world war. This year we have the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landing and in this cemetery we also have the grave of Marine Frederick Southwell who died while serving at HMS Robertson, a holding base for landing craft personnel. Frederick was just 18.
