Crusader Community Boating - Grand Union Canal

The canal trip will be on 7th and 8th September and will include entering into Blisworth Tunnel and commentary on route relating to the canal history and its importance for the area. This trip has limited access for wheelchair users. (email for details) This event is not suitable for very young children. Well behaved owners with pets welcome.

Accessibility details

This tour will take place on a specially built disabled access passenger trip boat, however as the accessibility to the canal is restricted as the structures at the starting point are 200 years old and the path down a steep slope is cobbled. (Not suitable for wheelchair access) There is a slightly better access point that is not on our trip route where wheelchair users can get on our boat with help from our crew. If you have any mobility issues, please let us know via email: [email protected]. so we can make arrangements to accommodate you.

Additional information

We are always looking for volunteers for our Charity to act as crew members or steerers. Please do voice your interest on the website or to the Boat Master on the day of your trip.
