A unique opportunity to see inside the Grade II listed court house (1818) and the underground cells.

Learn about misdemeanours, felonies and one high profile case. Visit the court room, the grand jury room, and the magistrates room. Descend to the underground cells and hear about eight hangings which took place at Knutsford from 1886 to 1912.

Unfortunately due to the nature of this tour there is no disabled access. No wheelchairs, buggies, walkers etc. Sensible shoes required for internal stairways and external stone steps to underground cells. This tour is not suitable for children or people of a nervous disposition. Tour is taken at own risk. No pets allowed.
