Launching for the first time during Heritage Open Days, the trail provides a fun and educational experience, taking you through the heart of Crewe. The route is approximately 1 km long and takes about 40 minutes to complete, making it the perfect activity for a family day out.
You can pick up your trail sheets at Olive's Food restaurant point in Market Hall, the starting point of your adventure. Developed and printed with the generous support of Olive's Food, this trail not only offers an exciting way to explore Crewe but also aims to foster a sense of pride in our town’s rich heritage. Market Hall welcomes well-behaved dogs, has water available for your four-legged friends, is a family-friendly venue at all times and welcomes everyone, including children of all ages.
Before we begin, let's go over some important safety information. The route will take us through Earle Street, Hill Street, Heath Street, Market Street, Chester Street, Crewe Street, Prince Albert Street, and Memorial Square. Some streets are pedestrian-only, while others are open to vehicle traffic. Please stay alert and keep to the pavements when walking along car-accessible streets. Always use designated crossings where available, and keep children close to you, especially near busy roads. Be mindful of others around you in pedestrian-only areas, and avoid running or sudden movements.
