Creating Connections at Swarthmore

2-7 Woodhouse Square, Leeds, West Yorkshire, LS3 1AD

  • Multiple dates available
  • In person
  • Pre-booking required

Our exhibition celebrates the long and fascinating history of Swarthmore as a Centre for Lifelong Leaning, you can also book a place on our cyanotype workshop to create your very own blue plaque.

In partnership with our Guest Curator, join us for our exhibition 'Creating Connections' which delves into Swarthmore's archives as we explore over 100 years of Lifelong Learning at the Centre. You will be able to view original floor plans of the houses which now form Swarthmore, exhibition brochures, course leaflets plus much, much more.
On the 7th September we will be joined by professional artist Abbie Mooney as she leads a couple of workshops inspired by the Blue Plaque of Leeds based philanthropist, Ellen Heaton (who lived in one of the houses of Swarthmore). These workshops will explore the printing technique cyanotype and at the end of the session you will have made your very own Blue Plaque to take home and treasure.
