Coundon Cycleway - Heritage and History Cycle Ride

Ira Aldridge Mural - adjacent to Belgrade Theatre, Belgrade Square, Coventry, West Midlands, CV1 1GS

  • 07 Sep 2024
  • In person
  • Pre-booking required

Enjoy Coventry's new cycleways, with stops along the way to delve into interesting buildings & local history, enjoying a city on 2 wheels is a unique experience that combines the human scale of walking, the feeling of freedom & movement of a vehicle.

Rides will be led by a professional ride leader, and the start/end points are West Midlands Cycle Hire docks, so you don't even need to worry about bringing your bike on the train or in the car if you live outside the city. This event is recommended for competent cyclists, although the routes are specifically planned to take advantage of Coventry's showpiece traffic-free segregated cycle routes to make the experience as relaxed and pleasurable as possible. Short connecting sections of low-traffic, residential streets will also be used. A leisurely pace will be followed, with frequent stops to look at and discuss the heritage sites along the way.
