From artisan crafts to talks and demonstrations, discover the rich and varied heritage of our local area.

To celebrate National Heritage Open Days 2024, we are hosting the Corfe Castle Festival of Cultural Heritage, with free entry to the castle for all visitors. It is a space for local organisations to celebrate and champion our heritage. Held in the Outer Bailey of the castle, with step free access, discover the incredible cultural heritage that surrounds us. There will be hands-on demonstrations from local craftspeople, stalls, talks and displays. A weekend long celebration of what makes the Isle of Purbeck so special.

Accessibility details

Our car park is located at BH20 5DR, at the bottom of the castle mound. It is a 10 minute walk up-hill to the castle entrance along a paved path. There is level access to the festival, located inside the castle grounds, along a cobbled path.
