Conduit and Confinement - A Lodge Moor explore
51 bus terminus, Redmires Road, Sheffield, South Yorkshire, S10 4LJ
An explore of the various historical tales of Lodge Moor and Redmires. The walk will last around two hours. We will be exploring the story of the area's importance in the city water supply story, with a near two century old conduit from Redmires to Crookesmoor still to be found. Taking in a visit to the remains of the P.O.W camp used in both wars, which was also the site of early aviation displays and Sheffield's last racecourse. All while taking in the beauty of the area and views of the city!

Additional information
The walk is relatively flat and easy, almost all of the route is on road or footpaths, however there is a short stretch in woodland. Visitors should be prepared for all weathers as the route is very exposed. At the end of the walk there is the option of visiting the adjacent Sportsman pub where food and drink are available (also toilet facilities).
