An excellent display showcasing the history and heritage of Cinderford and its surrounding area.

Cinderford is rich in mining history and this is reflected in the exhibition. Discover this and more via the Cinderford Town Archive, which includes the Forest of Dean Newspaper collection dating back to 1874 which is an excellent source of information for people researching family history and other subjects especially reports on local sport. The adverts for local businesses also hold a fascination as well as those for the social side of life.

The exhibition is held in the Council Chamber of a property built to the design of Skillicorn, a well-known local architect whose works can be found in many Victorian towns. The car park is in front of the building and there is another public car park a little further up the road.
