Lowfield Heath Windmill is a Grade II listed building. Originally built in 1737 at Lowfield Heath, it worked until the 1880s. This mill is the twelve oldest post mill out of the fifty remaining in the UK. The mill fell into disrepair over the next 100 years until being rescued by a newly formed trust in 1987. It was dismantled, moved to its present site in Charlwood, and restored to working order over the following 15 years.
Within the roundhouse there are display boards and a film will be running.
Seating is available within the area surrounding the mill.
Delicious TEA & CAKES!
