Chapel of Rest, West Street Cemetery
57 West Street, Farnham, Surrey, GU9 7AP
Built in the 1870s of the local white clunch or chalk stone, there were originally two chapels, one for Church of England burials and the other for Nonconformists, with a space between the two for the hearse. The two buildings were amalgamated at a later stage.
The chapel was closed in the 1980s when there were few burials and restored as an artist’s studio by Farnham Town Council.
