Come and find out more about the history of Redditch and it's development into a New Town. Hear from the project archivists, browse our exhibition and get involved with some interactive activities!

Worcestershire Archive & Archaeology Service took part in the New Jerusalems project - funded by the Wellcome Trust - to catalogue and make accessible archives that tell the story of Redditch’s development into a New Town. To celebrate the project, we are holding an event on Saturday 14th September at the Kingfisher Centre in the heart of Redditch from 10am to 4pm. There will be a talk on the project from the project archivists at 11am , which will be repeated at 2pm, as well as an exhibition to browse and join in with. We are keen for people to share their memories of the early days of the New Town with us, and will be showing lots of images from the archives throughout the day too.
The exhibition will remain on display at the Kingfisher Centre for the week following the event.
