8th May 2024 marks the 200-year anniversary of the laying of the foundation stone of St. Peter’s Church. To celebrate this milestone we are running a series of celebratory projects and events across the year. It is a Grade II* listed building.

Guided Tour: Take a tour with our knowledgeable guide and learn about the church's architecture and historical significance over the past two centuries.

Informative Talks: Hear from a local historian about key events and figures that have shaped our community's history.

Special Exhibits: See rare artifacts, photographs, and documents that provide a glimpse into our 200-year history.

Refreshments: Take a break and enjoy refreshments on us!

Why Attend?
Heritage Open Day is a great opportunity to celebrate our 200-year anniversary and connect with our community. By attending, you'll help us preserve our heritage for future generations.

Accessibility
The church has step-free access throughout the whole ground floor of the building. However part of the tour will be exploring the bell tower, for which accessibility is limited with a steep and narrow stair well. However, we will provide video and audio footage of the less accessible parts for your viewing as an alternative.

We'd encourage you to join using sustainable transport. Public transport is recommended as the church is centrally located, on many local bus routes and only a short walk from Brighton train station. We're also on a key cycling route through the centre of the city so why not enjoy a ride here!
