This event, part of BCHT’s Heritage Open Days, features the Friends of Buxton Station (FoBS) and embraces the theme of ‘routes, networks & connections’.

Buxton at the Hub: Experience Buxton as the central hub of a wheel, connected to surrounding areas through historical rail-tracks, bus routes, and scenic cycle trails.
Creative Crafting: Families are invited to construct models of town buildings and vehicles using eco-friendly materials, fostering a connection between Buxton’s past as a spa resort and its present-day charm.
Historical Character Encounter: Meet Samuel Turner, a pivotal figure in Buxton’s railway history, brought to life by a costumed actor. Delve into his story and contribute to the crafting event with your own historical creations.

Directions:
The Buxton Crescent is easily assessible in Buxton's historic town centre. There are several town council car parks near by and some on street parking. The Assembly Rooms can be found within the Crescent Ensana Hotel, normally reserved for grand occasions and weddings. The Assembly Rooms can be accessed via the grand staircase or by lift. Toilets are located within the building. There will be Buxton Crescent Heritage Staff ready to greet you at the door.
