Burnley Empire Open Days
Burnley Empire, Cow Lane, Burnley, Lancashire, BB11 1NN
The Burnley Empire is the only surviving purpose-built Music Hall of Varieties in Lancashire, and one of very few examples throughout the whole of the UK.
In its heyday it established itself as a key staging point on national tours by major stars, including Marie Lloyd, Florrie Ford, Vesta Victoria, Madame Paula the Reptile Queen, Harry Houdini and many more from who travelled across the world.
During the Burnley Empire open days you’ll have an opportunity to see inside the auditorium, learn about the significance of the building, the ongoing restoration project and future plans. Tickets are limited and each group visit will last approximately 30 minutes. Booking is required online via Eventbrite.
Tickets will be available online through Eventbrite from Friday the 2nd of August. Search Burnley Empire Trust on the Eventbrite website or look for links on social media and the Burnley Empire Trust website. Booking is essential.
The restoration of the Burnley Empire is ongoing with health and safety measures in place. Guests will be asked to wear hard hats and Hi-Viz vests on the day. Please wear sensible shoes and we advise not to wear open toe shoes or sandals. If there are any concerns or questions regarding access needs please contact the Trust via email: [email protected].
