Brigg Heritage Centre is proud to present a new pop-up installation illustrating how the historic North Lincolnshire market town of Brigg (and surrounding Ancholme Valley) has evolved through history!

The installation will be using maps/plans to highlight local landmarks, buildings and significant archaeological discoveries of the area.

This display explores the Heritage Open Days 2024 theme of routes, networks and connections - providing the opportunity to highlight sites of local interest and provide further information of significant buildings, streets, alleyways, courtyards and waterways.

An exhibit in our Churchill Room, overlooking the Market Place, with a community-focus and emphasis on nostalgia of bygone Brigg, will be supported by the permanent collection of Brigg Heritage Centre - the home of The Brigg Raft (circa. 800BC). Incorporating Brigg Live Arts’ extracts and original artworks from their exciting new project: Brigg’s Illustrated Heritage Trail.
