Brierley Hill Market 40 Faces
Market Hall, High Street, Brierley Hill, West Midlands, DY5 3AP
Nearly 200 years ago a lady turned up at the corner of Moor Street and High Street and started selling her wares (source: Clulow Journal, available from the library). The following week more store holders joined her and from there the market grew to become the beating heart of Brierley Hill.
Today the market is undergoing a refurbishment as part of the government's Heritage Action Zone. But inside there are still forty friendly faces of stall holders waiting to welcome you. To celebrate Heritage Open Day they have arranged for singer Natalie Knight and magician Thomas Dixon to perform throughout the day. Visit the market. It really will be magic.

Brierley Hill High Street is undergoing improvement works and is temporarily one way, in the Stourbridge to Dudley direction. All shops and facilities are open, but if approaching from Dudley you may need to use Venture Way to get to the other end of town.
