A chance to visit in person this little known gem of a walled garden - called by some the secret garden - hidden as it is off the beaten path in Somerfields wood, Hastings. With an opportunity to meet the gardeners, explore the allotments and what delights it offers. We offer musical entertainment provided by local choirs and children's craft activities to provide a family day out. Volunteers provide a variety of refreshments available to purchase in cash or card for as long as stocks last.

- Directions:
- *Arrive by car: Please check for any restrictions and ensure you display parking tickets clearly. Freedom Leisure Summerfields, Bohemia Road, Hastings, TN34 1ET. From the car park, walk towards the woods, but do not enter the woods. When you reach the boundary of the woods, turn left and walk straight ahead, up a slight incline and the garden will be on your right. *Arrive by bus: Bus routes 99, 100 & 101 with the nearest stop Summerfields Leisure Centre. *Arrive by train: Trains to St Leonards Warrior Square station or Hastings and then walk, take a bus (see above) or taxi.

*access to the garden is via uneven field and woodland paths. There are some inclines. Dogs welcome on leads.

Please note advice on finding the walled garden - we are in the middle of Summerfields woods and that surface can be uneven.
