Visit the restored 1879 narrow gauge Blythburgh Station - model railway show - railway films - light refreshments - guided tours - railway bookstall - demonstration goods trains - displays - access to railway trackbed walks.

Blythburgh Station was opened in 1879 and closed in 1929 - it is now being restored, and visitors can see the progress. Demonstration freight trains will run, using our unique 88-year-old solar-charged locomotive with replica wagons, as you would have seen on the railway 100 years ago. There are guided tours of the site and its original features including the award-winning restored Victorian Goods Shed, with archeological displays. A large live-steam model railway will run. At the Village Hall (adjacent) are light refreshments (including home-made cake), a selection of unusual model railways, railway films, a railway bookstall, and displays of the work of our volunteers. There is access to railway trackbed walks to east and west. Talk to the volunteers who have transformed the station in five years from complete dereliction to live again as a working railway.
