The Sun Inn, sits opposite Beverley Minster and is reputed to be the oldest public house in Beverley

This Grade II listed building in Flemingate dates from approximately 1530 and is widely regarded as the oldest pub in Beverley. The traditional oak beams with cosy nook reflect the age of the premises, but don’t worry – there are also modern features like a heated garden and fast wifi. The building is half-timber and colour-washed brick. The first floor is half-timbered, partly with herringbone brick infill, colour-washed. An area by the bar does not currently have a ceiling and the original woodwork and roof beams can be seen.
