Behind the Scenes: The Trafalgar Sail
National Museum of the Royal Navy, Jetty Road, Gosport, Hampshire, PO12 2AS
The unique and fragile nature of the only surviving sail from the Battle of the Trafalgar means it must be kept in special conditions and is not always available for public exhibition. These tours will offer a chance to view the sail with a curator to learn more about its history and the techniques used to protect it for many years to come.

The sail is kept in a loft and therefore is accessed via several flights of stairs. The stairs are part of a historic building and therefore can be uneven so care should be taken. There is a lift available but please do inform the museum in advance if you will require it to ensure it is available.
