Behind the scenes at Ludlow SMCC

See collections in store. The behind the scenes tour with the curators will show you hidden gems from the vast collections of Shropshire Museums. Including costumes, paintings of Ludlow and surrounding area, meet the real Shropshire Mammoths and glorious Shropshire fossils.

See the stuffed birds and animals in the natural history store and glimpse archaeology from castles, Wroxeter Roman city, and ancient sites around the county in the archaeology store. The tour will last an hour and is suitable for ages 6 and over.

A lift is available to travel between floors but please be aware the stores are large and some walking and standing is required.
All stores are wheelchair accessible but are not suitable for mobility scooters.

Directions:

There is plenty of parking and we are walking distance from Ludlow town centre. The Collections Centre is located inside Ludlow Library building.
