Come and find out about the incredible story of radar and the amazing technology was developed at this top-secret location before the Second World War and how we use radar every day in the 21st century.
Listen to the stories of some of the men and women who worked at Bawdsey and trace the scientific development of radar. Explore radar's pivotal role in providing 'the eyes of the few', the RAF fighter pilots who won the Battle of Britain. Find out more about radar's crucial role throughout World War Two and today.

There is a seasonal foot ferry, including cycles, from Felixstowe Ferry to Bawdsey Quay. Please contact the Ferry Company for timetable information, tel 07709 411511. The Transmitter Block is about one mile from Bawdsey Quay along the B1083, Ferry Road. There is no access to the Transmitter Block via PGL at Bawdsey Manor.
