To celebrate Heritage Open Day’s theme we are launching our brand new Bank Hall Tree Trail, where you can take a self guided tour of the grounds and discover our special trees within our arboretum and grounds. From the ‘critically endangered’ Dawn Redwoods to the fallen Coast Redwood, Cedars and Lancashire’s oldest Yew amongst others.
You can explore the Bank Hall Gardens and visit the Prospect Tower and Exhibition to discover the history of the house, the story of how it was saved from a ruin and how its former residents influenced the local area.
Entrance is FREE to the grounds. Craft stalls will be in the walled garden. Refreshments available.
Volunteer information will be available on the day for anyone who would like to get involved with the Friends of Bank Hall projects.
PROSPECT TOWER: Prospect Tower visits charge will be waived, however space is limited so tours MUST be pre-booked! Tours are at 11am & 1pm. Book your FREE tickets on the booking link (see below). A guide will meet you at the front gates 5 minutes before the tour time to check you in. The tower has 76 steps to the clock room level. Disabled access to the ground floor only.

The tower has 76 steps to the clock room level. Disabled access to the ground floor only. The paths in the grounds are woodchip and may not be suitable for wheelchair users. Please ask on arrival for wheelchair user access to the walled garden. Dogs welcome on short non-retractable leads.
