A Batley woman walks to war for love.
The true story of a girl from Havercroft who followed her young husband to Spain and served in the Duke of Wellington’s army against Napoleon.
Adapted for the stage from The Diary of Catherine Exley, edited by Rebecca Probert.
West Yorkshire Drama Academy, Heckmondwike was founded in 2012 to encourage young actors to flourish through devising, performing and producing their own shows. The students also make work in collaboration with local professional playwrights and theatre practitioners.
